With the bikes unloaded, and warm clothes on, we headed out to try our hand at next month’s race route. Around 50 miles and 5,000 feet of climbing. We started out instantly with a climb. Though the redwood trees, shadowed grounds, moss covering the rocks and trunks. In and out of the forest, Canyons and peaks. The peaks showing stunning ocean views.
Willow Creek Rd
Once through the road block. A double wide dirt road winding down between the trees. Small water barges giving reason to get air born. A slight down hill with just enough grade that minimal breaking was needed. Swooping curves, switch backs, water run off’s…. Such good times!
